Froglet!

Had my R.S synoptic paper today, which went quite well I think. I just have General Studies tomorrow and then the dark Mechanics 2 paper on Friday. I think it may be all over for my maths if this paper goes badly like the other two did, which may even mean I wouldn’t have got a place at University anyway. I say wouldn’t because I’m having second thoughts about Leeds now, and I may be taking a gap year meaning I may withdraw my application (which you can do, according to the careers advisor), but it may jeopardise my chances if I re-apply to the same two Universities the following year. I’ll have to see how things go over the next week I think…

Rough tadpole count: 17
Froglet count 1
Froglets released 0
Development: Success! I have one froglet ^-^ *beams*. I guess he must have decided to metamorph quickly as all the rest have only just begun showing signs of their back legs. I’m not entirely sure what to do with him now though, as all the websites seem to say it’s best to return them to the pond when they reach froglet stage and I’ve heard that they don’t return to the pond if they don’t undergo metamorphosis there. He’s just so darn small though (about half the size of my little fingernail), and I can see that monstrous carp just going for him like a shark if I put him in…
Other observations: Did I mention the damselfly yet? I came home from school yesterday to find an odd insect up against my window above the tank. It looked like the damselfly (a.k.a Sgt. Jacques of the shrimp brigade) had also undergone metamorphosis to some degree, because he had wings and was trying to get out. I took him down to the pond and left him in the plant pot next to it. *Salutes*.

Oh, and I feel the need to point out the current music *nods. This is a fantastic piece if you have any interest in classical or orchestrated music ^_^.

Yes you can defer your entry and you wouldn’t have to re-apply or nothing, but i dunno if you can at this stage, probably can as i bet you ain’t the first person to change his mind at about this time.

Yea, you’re right, it’s possible, but I have gone off Leeds. It’s the case that I would have to get Leeds to release me and either ask Reading nicely to defer my entry or re-apply with a fresh set of options next year, because then I can re-think my course.

I think heard something somewhere about deferring your entry, like, getting your place, but postponing joining the uni til the next year or something. I’m probably wrong though, but it’s just a thought.
