*Phew*. I’m back, not particularly exhausted, but I am feeling the stress of the amount of things that appear to be cropping up now. This weekend was basically ‘Millennium Volunteers’ hours where we did leadership training for bronze level participants of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. I now feel the need to list everything I have coming up in the next few months and pout for sympathy. I did choose to do half of this though, so the best I can do is not to waste time idly in the evenings.
I have the MYP murder mystery sometime in March, Reading and Leeds open days and my Design & Technology project due on the 17th. This weekend pulled up two more activities I could use towards my Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. There is a sailing residential with the Morningstar Company based in the Dockyards on April 5th-9th, and then ‘Handicamp’ April 10th-16th, where I basically act as a carer for a disabled child for the week, and we go and do loads of different things with them. It’s supposed to be a week where they can just have fun and their families a break from looking after them. I think it might be worthwhile, at least just to get me more comfortable working with other people *shrug*. I also have a gold training expedition at the end of April to prepare me for the final in July.
Then throughout May and June I have various other bronze practices to build up my MV hours, and my final A-Level exams towards the end. Then I have my Japanese trip at the beginning of July and my final Gold D.O.E expedition a few days after I get back from Japan.

Okay, and just briefly, about this weekend. Most of it was refresher stuff on navigation, camp craft and general knowledge/games you can do to teach the bronze level participants. I met a few new people that will probably be attending the expeditions I’m going on this year from Rainham Mark, and quite probably the Morningstar sailing residential as well.
Alrighty, that’ll be all for now. Oh, and I might point out I heard the Irish band ‘Levellers’ in the stereo this weekend. Their songs ‘Dog Train’ and ‘Come On’ are pretty fine ^_^.
Aaw ok never mind :( If there is some places left for girls later, then please let me know :D thanx

Stangely enough, I thought you might… I would have given you the phone number, but the guy told me they needed boys to help out, because they had most of the girl places filled already…

Wow I’m so jealous of your week helping disabled children! I would love to do something like that, strange as it may sound!
