There She Is!!! Final

After several years, the charming little Korean series created by SamBakZa involving a Cat and Rabbit has come to a close. It’s a series of animated shorts with little-to-no dialogue that paints a thoughtful social and cultural message. What happens when two people from different races fall in love?

I wrote about the series some time ago here (you can also download a couple of songs), but if you just want to get right to the video, you can watch the final episode and all those before it by visiting the site now. Seems like it’s under heavy load too, as thousands of fans pour in to watch Nabi (the cat) and Doki (the rabbit)’s final story.

Go watch the videos!

There She Is!!! Final

What are your thoughts? Have you experienced isolation from people around you because you chose to date someone from a different culture?

I really enjoyed the series. I’ve only recently saw the final two installments (and like a pillock watched them in reverse order) and definately think there’s a power driven behind it, particularly in the third video.

I just finished watching the whole series. I’d only seen the first two before so I wasn’t aware of the whole ‘discrimination’ subplot. I loved how it turned into a little drama though, its done very well. Its also nice to see how the artist/animator has got better over time. Some of the movement and the ‘takes’ (short movements of the character in animation such as showing like moving the head slightly when surprised. The same usage as the phrase ‘do a double take’) were really good.

I love the music that goes with it, but especially the part in the second video where he is being chased by the biker bunnies. As he’s gets on the roof and starts running the solo of the song kicks in and makes it seem more exciting. Love it.

Yea, the first two episodes particularly kick ass :p. You can grab the ‘birthday’ song from the second episode by going to the ‘Goodies’ page of mine ^^

I haven’t watched this yet but I will soon, sorting house things out now, getting everything moved into its appropriate places. (The pipes in my room flooded too :S but its alright, everything’s fixed now.) I know this won’t disappoint though, its got a lot of charm to it.
