UCAS – Complete!

Well, I finally completed my UCAS application after a month or so of emailing Reading to confirm various course aspects. I guess I’m glad the first stage is over, although now I don’t have any excuse to not be doing homework in my free periods ^_^; Anyway, I decided to stick Kings and SOAS down just as last ditch choices to fill the form. Must keep my fingers crossed for Reading, as it is my main choice, and I don’t feel I’ll be as happy at a large University such as Leeds, not to mention the distance…

I really liked Reading’s campus once I had looked around Sheffield though. The buildings connected by all the greenery really give it a quaint feel, and definitely somewhere I could see myself relaxing at. It didn’t seem *too* busy if you get my drift; whereas Sheffield was intersected by main roads and such.

Anyway, so my 6 choices are (in rough order of preference):

University of Reading
University of Leeds
Oxford Brookes
University of Sheffield
School of Oriental and African Studies
Kings College London (UCL)

Oh, and my preferred course is Philosophy and Japanese (combined) before anyone asks…Although not all of my choices offer the exact combination; Reading is unofficial, but they say they can create it for me, hence all the emailing. So now I just need to attain my predicted grades of AAB in Religious Studies, Design & Technology and Mathematics.

Maths will be the biggest challenge, as I had to persuade the teachers to push my C up to a B predicted grade to make my application shine. C’mon, I *was* only one mark off a B at AS Level…

It’s gonna be one hell of a tough time though, and I really must get to work on it over half term and beyond.

Indeed we could…Why I’m counting on it old fellow! ^_~

Yep, and AAB is my prediction, not required. Reading requires three B’s, but obviously a higher prediction means a more pleasing application.
